Attachments

Large forklift attachments

The attachment is part of the capacity calculation. Fork length, fork positioners, side shifters, clamps, rams and spreaders can change load center, residual capacity and the truck configuration required for the job.

Detail by attachment

Forks

The core load-handling tool, selected by length, thickness, width and capacity.

Typical uses

  • Pallets
  • Steel and lumber
  • Crated machinery

Fork capacity must meet the load and truck configuration. Load center and fork spacing affect the usable rating.

Side Shifter

Moves the carriage laterally for faster load alignment without repositioning the truck.

Typical uses

  • Warehouse racks
  • Trailers
  • Tight placement

Attachment weight and effective thickness can reduce residual truck capacity.

Hydraulic Fork Positioner

Adjusts fork spacing from the cab for mixed load widths.

Typical uses

  • Mixed pallets
  • Industrial products
  • Fleet applications

Requires compatible hydraulics and carriage; verify residual capacity.

Paper Roll Clamp

Purpose-built clamp for handling paper rolls without pallets.

Typical uses

  • Paper mills
  • Printing
  • Distribution

Truck capacity, clamp rotation and hydraulic requirements must match roll weights and dimensions.

Coil Ram

Handles coiled material through the coil eye in steel and manufacturing applications.

Typical uses

  • Steel coils
  • Wire coils
  • Industrial processing

Requires application engineering for coil weight, eye diameter, load center and truck capacity.

Container Spreader

Engages ISO container corner castings for terminal handling and stacking.

Typical uses

  • Ports
  • Container yards
  • Intermodal terminals

Must match container sizes, stacking requirements and the handler's rated configuration.

Approved Work Platform

A manufacturer-compatible personnel platform for permitted applications.

Typical uses

  • Industrial maintenance
  • Facility work

Use only where permitted and in accordance with manufacturer instructions and applicable safety requirements.

Specify the attachment before the truck

Give the dealer the real load dimensions, weight, load center, lift height and attachment requirement before selecting a truck. Attachments can reduce residual capacity, so the base nameplate capacity alone is not enough to size the application.
